[Chusen]
The traditional Japanese technique of “chusen” is characterized by its ability to dye both sides beautifully, and has been widely used as a dyeing technique for yukata and tenugui. Kyowazome Sarashi in Senshu, Osaka deals with chusen dyeing, and each piece has a different look, such as blurring and blurring, which is created by hand by craftsmen.
【Sewing】
In Senshu, Osaka, where the textile industry is thriving, Honesty's, a clothing brand that specializes in sewing without front and back, is in charge.
- Background and history of collaboration product development
・Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten is in Nara Prefecture, and HONESIES in Senshu, Osaka is actually in my neighborhood.
・The vision of Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten is to revitalize Japanese crafts! As someone who has witnessed the rise and fall of crafts for 300 years, I am doing my best to revitalize Japanese crafts so that they will still be a part of people's lives 100 years from now.
・On the other hand, Senshu, Osaka was once known as the Manchester of the East, and had a thriving textile industry. HONESIES deals with apparel products based on a straight forward idea to protect the power and culture of Senshu.
The encounter between the two and the empathy for their thoughts led to this collaboration.
